Griffin Birthday Almanac - February 19th, 2004

Mike Bailey

March 11th, 2004

I though it would be fun to collect some information about Griffin that we all learn at some point in our lives.  Things like Astrological Information, Chinese Zodiac Animal,  Griffin's birthdate in history and what artists were on the music charts when he was born.

 Astrological Sign - Pisces

PiscesSymbolized by the fish, Pisces is a water sign. Pisceans are sensitive, emotional, creative, and mystical. Good listeners, Pisceans often have great sympathy for others. They also have the ability to take life as it comes.

People born between February 19 and March 20 are considered to be Pisceans. The twelfth and final sign of the zodiac, Pisces is symbolized by two fish connected by a rope that swim in opposite directions. Astrologers believe that the tension created between these fish mirrors the tendency toward vacillation that characterizes the typical Piscean. Kind but deceptive, Pisceans often lack the self-confidence necessary to reach their substantial potential.

Dorling Kindersley

Pisces (astrology), the 12th sign of the zodiac, symbolized by two fish. According to astrologers, people whose birthdays occur between February 19 and March 20 are born under the sun sign of Pisces. The planet Neptune rules Pisces, which is a water sign.

Astrologers consider Pisceans to be sensitive, emotional, sunny, impressionable, dreamy, creative, psychic, and mystical. Pisceans tend to be idealistic; sometimes the real world gets too harsh and ugly for them. To escape unpleasant realities, some Pisceans retreat into their own dreams and fantasies and become evasive, even deceitful. Others escape productively through charity work, the arts, religion, meditation, and solitude. Pisceans make good listeners, can see different sides of issues, and often have great sympathy for the suffering of others.

According to astrologers, typical Pisceans do not have great physical stamina. Pisceans can be delicate and vulnerable, especially when under emotional stress. However, they are capable of great strength, in part because they are adaptable and can maneuver around difficult situations. They also have the ability to take life as it comes. Professions associated with Pisces are music, film, dance, and other arts; charitable work; counseling; jobs involving water, chemicals, oil, or drugs; clergy; and nursing.

Chinese astrology - Year of the Monkey

People born under the sign of the monkey are often thought to be very playful people who have a quick mind and a great sense of humor. Never ones to take life too seriously, Monkeys may be the ones who teach us to lighten up, or stop adding unnecessary stress to our lives.

Raising the Second Flag on Iwo Jima

Raising the Second Flag on Iwo Jima

One of the most famous images of World War II is that of the United States Marines raising the American flag on Iwo Jima during their battle with Japanese forces. The photograph, taken by Associated Press photographer Joe Rosenthal on February 23, 1945, actually shows the second American flag-raising of the day. The Marines had raised the first flag on Iwo Jima more than two hours earlier, but they decided to replace it with a second, larger flag.
