Many of my family and friends call on me as a resource for PCs, Home Networking and Computer Application help.  This area is intended as a reference archive of the most common things I get asked about as well as important steps I feel everyone should take to keep their computers running fast and safe.

Buying a new Desktop PC or Laptop can be a confusing and stressful experience.  I've attempted to break down the important things to look for in your new PC and simplify the choices you have to make in determining what is best for your intended use.

Every time I get a new PC, whether it's at work or at home, I install the same set of applications on them that get used on a regular basis.  Most of these programs are free downloads.  In this area, I describe my reasons for installing them and provide links to where you can download the latest versions of these applications.

Part of my regular job is as an Application Specialist.  That means I've worked with all sorts of computer applications over the years.  I've run into several great applications that I recommend here.

In order to keep your PC running efficient and safely, there are steps you must take on a regular basis.  I'll list them in this area and provide instructions on how to accomplish them as well.

The newest group of questions I get asked is about how to go about setting up a home network.  Here, I'll describe the options available and make recommendations on products I've have good experiences with.

Whenever I have technical problems or am looking for the next new tech toy I want to buy, these are the websites I go to in order to find the best information.
